Labour Migrations of the Bessarabian Bulgarians in the Post- Socialist Period

Summary/Abstract: The paper comments upon the labour mobility of the Bessarabian Bulgarians from Ukraine and Moldova in the post-socialist period from the perspective of the country of origin. The stress falls on the cross-border migrations and their expansion in both republics. The paper pays attention to the factors of migration, the gender aspect and the consequences of this phenomenon. The specifics of the labour migrations and the tendencies in their development in both countries are also studied.
