Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to present the role and importance of management control systems. This paper includes an overview of the characteristics of management control systems and their main advantages. A systematic review of current research on management control systems during the COVID-19 pandemic suggests that the scope of management control systems needs to be expanded and upgraded in the psychological dimension.
