Thougts on Audiophilia from a Musician’s Perspective / Gânduri despre audiofilie din perspectiva unui muzician

Summary/Abstract: During the last century, the development of audio technology has brought fundamental changes to the field of music listening, manifested both by diversifying the equipment and by shaping particular attitudes, implying sociocultural and aesthetic value considerations. From this set of concerns, we chose for analysis a separate and contradictory topic, that of audiophilia. Given that the literature approaches this issue from a rather technical and theoretical-philosophical perspective somewhat devoid of musical considerations, especially concerning the art music, we try to bring a contribution through this paper in that regard as well.
