The system of Chnemhotep I rock-tomb decoration

Summary/Abstract: The article presents stylistic and composition analyses of the scenes depicted in the wall paintings in the chapel of Chnemhotep I rock-tomb in Beni Hasan. The paintings preserved on the North and East walls of the main chamber only. The upper half of south-west wall is occupied with the historical inscription, the first two lines record titles of Chnemhotep I an his noble qualities. Author then studies the decorative scheme of the chapel applying the method of system analysis.
