Thirty Years Ago a Small Theatre Studio II. Was Originated. (Continuation of issue 4/2006)

Summary/Abstract: The second part of the study in which is Štefan Oľha returning to activities and artistic results of existence of the Small Theatre Studio in Košice, one of the most progressive experimental troupes in 70-ies of 20-th century. A trinity of professional theatrical artists (dramaturgist Štefan Oľha, director Jozef Pražmári and scenographer Štefan Hudák) in cooperation with young theatrical artists, predominantly secondary school students, prepared a series of non conform staging projects inspired by stimuli of Russian, Czech and Slovak avantgarde theatre. The aim of creators was to address particularly young generation of spectators, and that is why they had resigned to a classic theatre space and a petrified system of theatrical signs. They were intending to produce a total theatre, reaching out by an acute idea, working with heuristic and provoking formal resources.
