SYSTEMATIC REVIEW OF HEALTH AND ECONOMIC RESULTS IN THE TREATMENT OF SLEEP APNEA

Summary/Abstract: This study focuses on the economic aspects of the treatment and diagnosis of sleep apnea. Illness is socially significant. Undiagnosed and improperly treated disease leads to serious consequences, increasing the risk of triggering various cardiovascular, metabolic and other diseases. It is associated with reduced working capacity, increased risk of traffic accidents and death. Although the research methodologies vary widely, the evidence convincingly suggests that the treatment of sleep apnea is associated with favorable economic outcomes.
