Summary/Abstract: The crisis in modern education on every level raises the necessity of its philosophical-methodological grounding in accordance with the needs of the 21st century. Today this task is undertaken by the new field in research – philosophy of education. The article treats only some fundamental philosophic problems of education, which are not developed enough. It is philosophy which gives meaning and recovers education from the traditional, limited information activity towards the development of man in accordance with his kin character. The main idea here is directed towards the system-originating foundation of education – “The ontos“, the being, the existing, examining man as an organic part of the tri-unity being – “world, society, individual“. In this context, the meaning of education as a complex and infinite process is mainly focused on the fact that the individual should realize and create himself, as an heir and prospective creator of human culture.
