Summary/Abstract: The article provides a comparative analysis of the text of the praises of St. Nikita Stolpnik and the praiseworthy word of St. Sergius of Radonezh, created by Epiphanius the Wise. Their textual affinity is revealed. The date of writing the praises of saint is set. Nikita Pereslavsky, and also put forward an assumption about the authorship of the laudatory word and the place of its creation. The article examines the peculiarities of the topic of the lives of the Russian stylites of Nikita Pereslavsky and Savva Vishersky on the manuscript material of the Manuscripts Department of the Russian State Library. It is established that the asceticism of these saints has characteristic features expressed by event and mental topos. It is shown that along with the traditional elements of the topic of hagiographic texts of the Eastern Stylites, the lives of Russian stylites contain literary formulas that distinguish them from the corpus of stylite lives.
