SOCIALIZATION IN THE DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT

Summary/Abstract: The development of information and communication technologies has brought numerous advantages and numerous difficulties that every young being faces in the process of personal growth and development. The challenges that children and young people face sometimes go beyond the framework in which parents can independently provide help and support to children. For teachers and pedagogues, a new era of educational work was born, in which not everyone coped equally well. In this paper, the authors try to find answers to several important questions. First of all, how and in what way to make the obstacles of socialization in the digital environment surmountable for both students and parents, and then how to empower children on a mental and emotional level so that they can adapt to rapid changes in later life and work, and at the same time preserve their personality. Another important aspect of this work is the consideration of the issue of identity and self-image in the time of uniformity and dominance of consumer social orientations. What the authors emphasize is the teamwork of parents, teachers and pedagogues, strengthening the child's personality and supporting the potential that every child has. Facilitating the maturation and growth of children and young people in a consumer society oversaturated with quasi-needs is the priority task for the parents, but also for everyone who works with children and young people.
