Summary/Abstract: The article outlines the areas of negligence of research and methodological errors that are most frequently committed in studies on anti-Jewish violence. Seven such areas are distinguished. The first concerns the aim of the research, the second is the search for a universal definition, and the third concerns the recognition of anti-Jewish violence as a phenomenon. The fourth is the contextualization of research, the fifth is the objectification of the research “object”, the sixth is the contrast between the levels of analysis, and the seventh defines the problem of the coherence of research sources and research tools.
