Summary/Abstract: Tudor Arghezi’s poetry can be approached from the perspective of a metaphysical feeling of expectation, seen as a unifying element of love, desire and divine revelation of creation. Through this metaphysical feeling, the poetry of Tudor Arghezi gets a philosophical dimension, through which the being is pushed into an area of intense desire that in terms of Heideggerian philosophy is the existential meaning of the fact-of-the-hope. The understanding of the mechanisms through which expectation becomes self-sufficient in Arghezi’s poetry helps in understanding the existential attitude of the poet.
