Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the contributions of Professor Edmond Nicolau to Cybernetics, in particular those related to the conference dedicated to Ștefan Odobleja held in Oradea and the conference in Palma de Mallorca in 1995. The paper also refers to the precursors of Cybernetics in Romania, as well as to several definitions of the science called Cybernetics are mentioned.
