Summary/Abstract: In the conceptual art of the late 1960s and early 1970s, the linguistic sign effectivelygained independence from the image. Artistic text ceased to play a mediatory rolebetween the image and its designate; equipped with a reporting or projecting functiontoward the registered or co-created states of affairs, the artistic text sometimes assumeda visual dimension. The article presents the logovisual aspects of post-conceptualpractices by Cezary Bodzianowski, Łukasz Jastrubczak, and Joanna Rajkowska. Their worksemploy forms of conceptual notation – both linguistic and visual – to abstract certainnotions from sites of artistic intervention and to construct new ones. Their practicesfocus on defining the parameters of a work open to multiple interpretations created inchanging social contexts.
