Summary/Abstract: Ivan Vazov is a classical poet in Bulgarian literature, known for the great genre diversity of his works. The subject of this article is not the genre diversity, but the funny one in his famous story "Uncles" (1885). An attempt has been made to consider the funny in connection with the effects of style. Some conclusions that are imposed in connection with the genre of the story are self-evident. It would be appropriate to consider the story "Uncles" in terms of humor in connection with the story "Mitrofan and Dormidolski" (1881), but to facilitate the task, we consider only one story. Definitions of humor are presupposed according to dictionaries
