Summary/Abstract: The Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of the European Union (EU) has undergone a number of reforms to be able to meet all the challenges facing European agriculture. For the last time, the EU's CAP underwent a major change in 2013 when the sustainable and environmentally friendly development of the sector was identified as a key objective. The aim of the report is to outline the expected novelties that European farmers will face in the new programming period 2021-2027. The legislative frameworks of the new CAP and their expected effects on European agriculture are presented.
