The topicality of the Maria Łopatkowa’s concept of work with a family at risk

Summary/Abstract: The family still remains the essential educational environment for the human. It becomes a subject of particular concern when begins to experience problems. Recent activities for family well-being are usually based on empowerment. It strive for the family’s autonomy and try to rebuild the bond between parents and children. Most of these solutions were present in Maria Łopatkowa’s concept of work with a family at risk, presented in the second half of the 20th century. This article aims to recall this concept and show it is up-to-date.
