Summary/Abstract: In the summer of 1984, Ioan Petru Culianu was assiduously working at the novel Tozgrec, confessing to Mircea Eliade about his wish to finish the book manuscript as soon as possible. He also seemed quite angry that his writing got interrupted by a series of unwanted visits. Considered by the author a fantastic novel ("the first version of the fantastic novel which I am now writing (Tozgrec1 )"), according to the letter 100 dated September 1984, the novel will be published post mortem, in four work variants: Tozgrec, Tozgrec’s Gardens, Sid and Mekor, Hermion Spider, the novel Tozgrec being assigned to his author function.
