Summary/Abstract: The present research presents the numerous instances of animal and vegetal rhetoric, as ecomorphisms or animal and vegetal similes, in Conrad’s fictional texts. They reflect his holistic and metaphorical perception of the world, the interchangeability between kingdoms and species due to the lack of boundaries between them in the Conradian outlook of the universe.
