Summary/Abstract: This paper is a research into Joseph Conrad’s equation of war and duel as deterministic functions of a bellicose species, which endangers its future and existence, speeding its end by nonsensical inter- individual or inter-national conflicts. It is an anti-war, anti-duel, anti-anarchism commonsensical attitude of Conrad, reiterated in dramatic, tragic or comic tones.
