Summary/Abstract: Pamfil Șeicaru was certainly an indisputable figure of his time, of the history of the interwar press that originated in the 19th century. All his research and examination of society has an astonishing scale, a coveted passion for the entire Romanian historical destiny. The directions through which he capitalized on his pen must be considered as a unitary whole, this being distinguished by historical, political, fictional journalism, but also by his biography. He began to practice the pamphlet as an exclusive genre only in exile. He was the director of the magazine Hiena together with Cezar Petrescu from 1919 to 1924, and of the magazine Curentul until 1944, this one giving priority to the opinions expressed in front, the frontal attacks and the investigations. His writings in exile are taken as examples of a pamphleteering discourse, the discourse of a perfect loser. The main subjects of his pamphlets being favorite characters, the issue of daily politics and governors. When he returned from the front, the generation of trenches rushed to another confrontation, against the old morals and parties. The critique of the society of that time being extremely wide and deep, relating to the understanding and change of the political, economic, social and cultural landmarks. The ethnic specificity is the starting point of Pamfil Șeicaru when he formulates his own theses about the role of culture in Romanian society. The evolution of the Romanian society was affected by the Phanariot regime and the socio-political manifestations of the Pasoptist generation.
