Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the contents of the magazine Belarusan Thought / Communist of Byelorussia) with the purpose of revealing the Byelorussian Soviet elite’s self-comprehension of the late 1980’s — early 1990’s as an independent political subject, its vision of economic, social, political and other strategies of development of Belarus during the transition epoch of the Belarusan independence building. У артыкуле прааналізаваны змест часопіса «Беларуская думка» («Коммунист Белоруссии») з мэтай выявіць самаўсведамленне беларускай савецкай эліты канца 1980-х — пачатку 1990-х гадоў як самастойнага палітычнага субъекта, яе бачанне эканамічнай, сацыяльнай, палітычнай і г. д. стратэгій развіцця Беларусі ў пераходную эпоху станаўлення беларускай незалежнасці.
