Summary/Abstract: In carrying out quality inclusion of children with difficulties, other participants and associations with volunteers, besides educators and teachers, professional associates, parents, teaching assistants, offer assistance to parents with children with difficulties. Support models to parents with children with autism disorders in Croatia are carried out in regular upbringing and education institutes, in special institutes, and the role of associations is not one to be neglected. The present work shows the research results of parent satisfaction with the work of associations, their expectations and experiences. 94parents/guardians participated and 6 association representatives (Zadar, Zagreb, Rijeka, Osijek, Nedelišće, Karlovac). Quantitative and qualitative processing of data obtained by surveying parents and interviewing six presidents of various associations in the Republic of Croatia was used. The results of the research showed that parents have positive experiences and are satisfied with the professional support of the staff, as well as with the exchange of experiences with other parents, while they are less satisfied with the spatial and material conditions. The greatest expectations of parents were for their children to improve in communication, socialization and suppression of undesirable behaviors, and to be adequately housed in residential communities as adults having support models organized through a systematic solution. Most parents are aware that they themselves need assistance. All associations offer support models for parents through the association of parents and mutual exchange of experience, with professional support through workshops, individual consultations or lectures.
