Summary/Abstract: The article examines the early work of L. Stoyanov (1910–1930), written under the influence of Masonic ideas. Proof of this is contained in previously unexplored archival materials. The analysis of the works is based on both documentary material and rich mystical symbolism. The conclusion is that L. Stoyanov knows the mystical dimensions of fictional literature, but uses them in a non-mystical way – in themes and motives outside the uplifted-celebratory rhetoric of occult societies.
