Summary/Abstract: The scientific paper focuses on the role of Gavril Krastevich (1818–1898) in the process of popularizing the famous work of in the last years before the liberation of the Bulgarian lands from Ottoman rule. Krastevich owned three transcripts of “Slavo-Bulgarian History”, including the important for science transcript by Bishop Sophrony, made in Kotel in 1765. By the will of the prominent public figure, after his death in 1898, the mentioned transcript was donatedto the National Library in Sofia, where it is stored until now.
