Summary/Abstract: Today‘s young people of school age are exposed to a wide range of life situations and choices that may determine a large part of their future lives. While some young people are able to deal with their problems on their own and with the help of others, others are unable to deal adequately with their problems and/or are hesitant or have difficulty asking for help because of the stigma that still exists. While it is possible to observe that ‚having‘ a psychological disorder is becoming more common among young people, it must be taken just as seriously as the worst case scenario, which can lead to suicide. This article presents the prevalence and situation of school-age youth in Lithuania. It looks at their access to psychological help from organisations or private individuals when needed.
