Androgyneity and the Fertility Myth

Summary/Abstract: Doris Lessing, a prestigious British author born in Iran, proposes in the novel Mitra an interesting vision of androgyny, but also of the Adamic vision, which no longer has as its first being the man, but the woman. The pretext is old secret documents and stories transmitted orally that recompose an atypical androgyny, feminine, but able to reproduce. The revisitation of the myth has SF touches, bringing a unique genre of literature.
