Implementation And Effects Of The Rural Development Programme 2014 – 2020 In Bulgaria

Summary/Abstract: The rural development policy is one of the most important parts of the Common Agricultural Policy. In our country it has been applied since 2007 in two programming periods – 2007 – 2013 and 2014 – 2020. The main goal of this study is to analyze the degree of implementation and the effects of the measures of the Rural Development Programme for the second programming period (2014 – 2020). The article presents the main conclusions from the analysis of the impact of the measures on unemployment and income of the population in rural areas. Under two thirds of the measures proposed by the RDP, no payments have yet been made to the beneficiaries due to various administrative, regulatory and other problems. There is an uneven absorption of funds under the RDP and its individual measures.
