Summary/Abstract: In this text I would like to examine several episodes of historical relationship between Latvia and countries in Africa and Asia pertaining to art collections and exhibition histories, looking at them from a contemporary perspective that hopefully offers multiple ways to see the traces and entanglements of colonialism and imperialism in Latvia and the wider region.
