Summary/Abstract: The principles represent the first element to achieve the unity of the content of environmental law at the level of the three legal orders: national, European and international. Their propagation and joint action is the key to solving many environmental problems that go beyond the borders of a single territory. At the level of the European Union, along with the fundamental principles, three general principles have been developed and are applied, specific to the European construction: the principle of subsidiarity, the principle of correction (rectification) with priority at the source of pollution and the principle of integration.
