Summary/Abstract: This article aims to interpret Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz’s work From Where We Saw the Tatras (Plan of Six Sonnets). The unconventional image of the mountains, due to their self-referential nature and relations with tradition, prompts reflection on the interactions between literature and space. Using the “world in placement” category (proposed by A. Kobelska), a thesis was put forward that the Tatra Mountains in the Plan of Six Sonnets is a world in perpetual placement, especially in topographical and poetological senses. The effect of these treatments in the poem is a dynamic space, different from the traditional images of “immovable mountains”.
