Summary/Abstract: The relation of Jan Antonín Baťa to Czechoslovak exile resistance during the World War II was very complicated. After early contacts and Baťa’s financial support to resistance, a major turn set in and Baťa’s companies were entered on the Allies black list, which, together with his reluctance to take an open stance against Nazi Germany, led to an insurmountable barrier between both parties and resulted in a trial in front of the National Court of Law aft er the War.
