Summary/Abstract: The paper seeks to present the history of the learned society, which was established in the early 20th century, or, precisely, the Law Societyin Lublin. It describes the conditions in which the society was foundedin 1915, its statutory goals and the first years of activity. At thebeginning it emphasized patriotic education and activity, later (afterPoland regained independence) it focused on raising the level of legalknowledge by running a library, delivering lectures and cooperatingwith other organizations.
