The family - the mirror of society

Summary/Abstract: The family is the basic element of society; the endurance of the human species over the centuries depends on its health and durability. therefore, the family, in the Holy Scriptures, is presented as willed and instituted by God even in paradise, that is, from the first years of human existence. Its purpose was the glorification of God and the perpetuation of the human race. In order for man and woman to become one body, a mystery is really needed, the Holy Sacrament of the Wedding, performed invisibly by the Savior Jesus Christ Himself in the Church. At the foundation of this connection lies precisely the greatest of virtues, namely, love. His love reflects intra-trinitarian or divine love so that the family becomes an icon of the love of the Holy Trinity. He family represents, therefore, the spiritual framework blessed by God, in which the Christian is called, together with the loved one, to transfigure love, in full communion with the other, in order to be able to climb, pushed by the boundless force of love, the ladder that leads to Heaven.
