THE SHORT ADULTS EDUCATION PROGRAMMS EVALUATION- THE CASE OF TOURISM AND CATERING SCHOOL, DUBROVNIK

Summary/Abstract: The Adult Education Programms are part oof the Tourism nd Catering School Dubrovnik business practice. This paper shows the results of the evaluation of the teaching process of the selected implemented programs, which have been carried out in Tourism and Catering School Dubrovnik, as part of the project “Regional Competences Centar Dubrovnik” . The workshops "Education of support staff", "Smoking and drying of meat", "Restaurant desserts", and "Education of support staff" were evaluated very well, and in particular, the workshop "Carob as a restaurant dessert" received extremely high marks for all evaluation elements. The workshops "Mali Ston Oyster" and "Wild herbs" were rated somewhat worse, although the final ratings for both workshops were very positive. All the elements of the workshop "How to recognize entrepreneurial initiative (Design Thinking)" were evaluated with very high marks. The evaluation of the selected workshops gave an insight into the satisfaction of the participants with the contents of the workshops. Based on the results of the research, it is evident that the short educational programs were selected in accordance with the needs of the market and the mentorships’ competences, and that their evaluation indicates a high level of satisfaction of the participants and the that their further implementation and commercialization is justified
