Summary/Abstract: This paper presents results of a study on the relations between religion and nation, conducted on an accidental sample consisted of 238 students of teachers’ training faculties of the University of Novi Sad. The national identity was measured with the NAIT scale, and the total score indicated moderate expression. The factor analysis of the structure of ethnicity isolated three factors that can be defined as a strong sense of national belonging, cosmopolitanism, and nationalism. Religiosity, along with confessional affiliation, was measured with the Scale of Religious Self-Identification. The results indicated moderately high level of religiosity, and the most dominant relation to religion was a traditional approach to observing customs. Results of this study also indicated a positive correlation between national identity and religiosity.
