Summary/Abstract: By the Edict of Milan, the right to have different religious identities is recognised, which many are not, even today, ready to do. By dissolution of Yugoslavia, nationally and confessional homogenous, but also segregated societies were created. How did the church leadership "find their way" in political changes of the 1990s of the last century? What do individuals in national and confessional communities have in common, in circumstances of reaffirmation of religious freedoms? Diffusivity of the Church-politics border. Both politics and the Church bear "costs" of politicised religion. Social distance amongst those that belong to three confessions. An attitude towards the Other. The issue of forgiveness and dialogue. Difference in understanding of the confessional identity. Religion and confession as an important factor in continuity and development of the national culture. Religion and nationalism. What do religious communities on the Bal-kans face with: renaissance or crisis? Dignity of differences (an attitude towards sexual freedoms). Doubts and concerns of religious communities.
