Summary/Abstract: The author of the article analyses the crime of recruiting minors for sexual purposes, emphasising the importance of protecting their sexual freedom in the digital era. Thus, it criticises the current legal text for excluding certain behaviours that essentially harm the social value protected by the norm in the same manner and proposes solutions for improvement.Among the topics covered are the nature of the meeting proposal, the special purpose of the crime (with a detailed analysis on the aspect that the lack of explicit disclosure of the nature of the proposal does not negate the existence of the special purpose), the misguided decision of the legislator not to criminalise conversations of a sexual nature between adults and minors, and the lack of predictability and clarity of the text regarding the moment of crime consummation.The conclusion is that these gaps in the legal text complicate the judicial process, fail to cover behaviours that are truly dangerous to society, do not offer adequate protection to minors, and leave them with traumas that are difficult to heal.
