Changes of the Political Relationship between Athens and Skopje

Summary/Abstract: A verbal exchange of views between the governments in Athens and Skopje was the characteristic feature which described the political relationship between Greece and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia in the beginning of the 1990s. It was a period of high emotional discussions and demonstrations, with the involvement of a large part of each society. Confidence-building was unusual at that time. Nowadays, there is an atmosphere of trust and cooperation, which describes the political and economical relationship between the two countries. Nevertheless, one question is still not answered and casts a shadow on the new partnership: How to name the FYROM? The author describes the rapprochement of Greece and the FYROM and tries to give an answer to the last question of importance.
