Summary/Abstract: Frequent alarming events, until yesterday unimaginable, cases of violence in schools indicate that the two primary educational milieu, family and school, do not work together or synchronized. The classic pedagogical requirement calls for the coordinated action of all educational milieus in order for the child’s personality to successfully navigate the peaceful waters of growing up, which today look more and more like a stormy sea. Is it really about the impotence of education, as is often signaled to us from the sidelines, or has education been let out of the hands of those who can make it powerful? The paper indicates the danger that pedagogy, which in its etymological meaning has a child and guidance, becomes a “childless pedagogy”, as Soviet authors with a critical mind pointed out with concern at the beginning of the 20th century. Stunned and confused in the gap between the ambitions and demands of the family and the school, the child without help and support is unable to cope with the various pressures of the educational environment in which he grows up. Does a child become a homeless person in society, and therefore pedagogical science (respecting its basic etymological meaning), are just some of the questions that must intrigue us permanently in order to find directions both on a theoretical-scientific and practical level.
