Summary/Abstract: Moritz Schlick differentiates extremely between the theoretical ethics and the practical application of its knowledge. The subject of ethics is the „good“. Ethics is a normative science not because it creates the norms of moral behaviour but because it states and describes them. The motivation of moral behavior could be explained only from the position of the eudemonic approach. M. Schlick identifies „moral“ with „morally good“ and reckons that the concept „good“ has moral meaning when it concerns decisions of the human will and exhibits the approval of society.
