Summary/Abstract: Tourists want to do the most when they travel. They want to see and taste everything taking with their memories the best of each place. In the other hand tourism represents a good percentage in the annual general profit return for a country. This means that the touristic and travel companies, banks and local authorities, are interested in doing the most to attract the tourists in their areas and treat them in the best way possible. Such information might be about a country, city or specifically a certain location. In this paper we present two different new ways of touristic information distribution system. The first and the most common in the civilized area, is that in the presence of the internet or Wi-Fi coverage, Cloud Computing is a very convenient way but when the internet or cellular coverage is not present the use of the ad-hoc wireless routing protocols is the second possibility. The tourists get connected to the cloud resources, asking for specific information related to the current place that they are visiting and the required information will be distributed to each group member through their cell phone. Together with the first solution we propose here a new ad-hoc wireless communications protocol, TOURCOMM that would be a second solution, especially applicable in the grey and lacking coverage areas. In TOURCOMM, we use a hierarchical infrastructure that makes it possible the distribution of touristic information through all the “cells” areas where the tourists are actually located.
