Summary/Abstract: In this article, the question is explored whether the epistemic implications of the assumption of the binary nature of legal perception can have an impact on the previous view of the nature of fixed word compounds in the technical language of law. This question is particularly relevant in the con- text of the feature of semantic solidity of those fixed word compounds which are terms. In the au- thor’s opinion, characteristics of the fixed word compounds of legal terminology, which are terms, cannot be discussed without including the history of terms.
