DETENTION OF MIGRANT MINORS IN THE EU

Summary/Abstract: In recent years, the international community has been facing unprecedented waves of migration, and the situation of people who are forced to leave their homes due to armed conflicts, poverty, desertification or extreme climatic phenomena must be understood and managed effectively and responsibly. The countries where these people seek shelter out of the desire and need to start a better life have the obligation to provide them with protection according to international law. In the search for viable strategies, it must be taken into account that precisely these people are vulnerable members of society, and their rights can be easily violated.It is necessary to create communication bridges, understand cultural diversity, combat discrimination, ensure access to justice, but above all respect for all fundamental rights and freedoms.
