Summary/Abstract: Implantation of total endoprosthesis (TEP) of the hip joint is one of the most successful and most frequently performed reconstructive procedures in orthopedic surgery. The most common reasons for installing an endoprosthesis are trauma, osteoarthritis, and developmental disorders of the hip (dysplasia). The patient decides to install a hip joint endoprosthesis when the complaints become so pronounced that they reduce or almost make daily activities impossible. Implantation enables rapid postoperative recovery and disappearance of pain that was present before surgery, and rehabilitation enables rapid recovery and significantly improved quality of life. Rehabilitation is a process that helps a person to establish (again) optimal physical, psychological, social, professional, educational and recreational skills in view of physiological or anatomical damage to the body, environmental limitations and life plans and desires. The aim of the research: To examine the importance of physiotherapy in people after the installation of a hip endoprosthesis. Research material and methods: The paper is a non-experimental (qualitative) research, i.e. a scientific literature review. When creating the professional work, various databases were used, including Google Scholar, Pub Med, ResearchGate, Hrčak, using the keywords hip endoprosthesis, rehabilitation after hip endoprosthesis installation, quality of life. The research is limited to articles published in Bosnian, Croatian and English. Results: The results of the research suggest that a complex rehabilitation program such as kinesitherapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy can result in significantly faster recovery in patients and enable them to perform everyday activities more easily. Conclusion: Research confirms the significant role of physiotherapy treatments of the rehabilitation that is carried out on people after the installation of a hip endoprosthesis and their quality of life.
