Summary/Abstract: The article addresses the issue of the freedom of parents to choose religion for their minor children and to raise their offspring in accordance with their own worldview. The author also refers to the issue of the legal possibility of formal withdrawal of minors from the Roman Catholic Church (apostasy) in Poland. A brief analysis of these issues leads to the conclusion that parents have a legally guaranteed right to raise their children in accordance with their worldview, whereas the lack of procedures enabling minors to formally leave the Church, or for this act to be performed by their parents who have full parental authority over the children, does not violate the right to religious freedom.
