Summary/Abstract: This study is based on the analysis of 'Abu Hayyan al Andalusı's Kitab al-'idrak li-lisan al-'Atrak asthe first bilingual dictionary in Arabic tradition. It describes its structures (Megastructure and Microstructure)and the sources on which it depends and shows the microstructure information. Then we shall discuss the particularities of its method which can be a fruitful source for modern bilingual Arabic dictionaries.
