Summary/Abstract: A poetic concept sphere includes a variety of concepts which form the axiology of poetic discourse. The corpus of words which belong to the thematic group 'Vegetation' has a significant cognitive potential for poetry. In the dynamics of a lyrical plot, natural realia related to vegetation perform the role of mediums, establishing a connection between the material and the spiritual, the temporal and the eternal. The same lexeme can belong to two 'worlds' in a poetic text: the physical and the conceptual ones, which have different but correlated semantic qualifiers. The relevance of tree and flower names for their poetic conceptualization was formed over a long period of time and has a range of peculiarities in different cultures.
