Summary/Abstract: In the classical line of folklore studies, Nicolae Hurduzeu's book, “The Journey of the Soul into the Afterlife in the Villages of the Timis River Valley (Caras-Severin County)”, published by Istros Publishing House of the "Carol I" Museum of Braila in 2024, makes a notable contribution to the study of thanatology. Resulting from field research begun in 2015, the text starts from a substantial database, given the number of informants - 39 we counted in the addendum.
