Summary/Abstract: Within Banat Village Museum there is a collection of Banat finery and jewellery. We are talking about dozen of pieces of patrimony with a documentary and artistic value which imposed the apparition of a catalogue achieved under special graphic conditions, bilingual in order to promote the values of Banat patrimony to a wider public. The catalogue entitled: Sign and Symbol. Banat finery (I) Ceremonial finery proposing the presentation of ceremonial pieces (used in wedding and funeral ceremonials – two essential stages from man’s life). Another valuable collection is the one of pottery, consisting of over 2000 ceramic crockery belonging to the pottery centers of Banat which existed at a certain time The catalogue: Jupânești Pottery (I) Ritual Pottery, Jupânești Pottery (II) Common household pottery, Jupâneşti Pottery (III) Common-use pottery. Storage pots, Jupânești Pottery (IV) Common-use pottery. Recipients for liquid storage and transport, therefore represents the materialization of the research work and the valorization of one of the most valuable and vast collections of our museum.
