Summary/Abstract: Modern man often puts his own ego and his needs first. As a result, he includes in his life plans only what can bring him benefit, pleasure and satisfaction. He avoids taking responsibility for others, but demands responsibility from others to carry out their own plans. This casts doubt on the ability to make responsible and definitive decisions. In the context of marriage, such doubt is cast on its ability to express a sincere will to create a community (man and woman) of a whole life with another human being. The purpose of this article is to answer the question: whether and what effect does narcissistic personality have on the consensual ability to marriage in the volitional sphere? Such a treatment of the issue has already been resolved in the Roman Rota, including in trials for simulation of partial marriage consent, in which the cause of the simulation act turned out to be a narcissistic personality.
